Finding the Perfect Thong

Hey Lovelies,

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week. I know I am. It's always a great feeling to write these blogs for you. I truly hope you enjoy reading them as much as I do write them. Today, the topic is a bit on the sentimental side for me and perhaps many other lingerie lovers. Thongs.

Yes, thongs. While the staple of sexy lingerie may not seem sentimental to some it certainly is the marker for growth for many others. Why would these sexy panties be considered so by me and many others? Simple. They are the ladder with which we took our first climb into the world of adult lingerie.

Many of us can remember the moment we got our first thong fondly. Your mom either snuck in that white or black pair in with the new sets she’d bought and simply smiled knowingly when you picked it out in excitement. Or you went through the PowerPoint presentation mode of convincing her why you needed one and your life would not be complete without one.

Regardless of the route you chose or were given, getting that first pair meant you were now ready for the adult world, even if it was simply a toe in the door of maturity. However, like most transitions, it can be a little difficult to adjust to. For one the very design of thongs makes it so that you have to be careful not to be in a constant state of “wedgey”. So, why do people buy this triangle-shaped lingerie?

To feel sexy, thongs are by far considered the sexiest panties on the market due to the skimpiness of material.

To avoid panty lines, another great reason for their popularity is that the lack of extra cloth eliminates the ever-annoying panty line created beneath our clothes.

To feel free, last but certainly not least. Many people who would rather go commando are able to wear thongs and assimilate the feeling of commando.

With these reasons, it's no wonder thongs are as popular as they are. Now the question of comfort, however, is a whole different ballgame. So how do we avoid this?

Get them in your size. Because a thong has much less material doesn’t mean you need to go down a size to wear them. That’s a UTI waiting to happen.

Pick the right material. If you love the idea of thongs so much, consider getting cotton or a combination of cotton and silk to wear more frequently. Save the lace and other materials for special occasions.

Get sized. If you’ve never bought a thong before, make sure to get sized before making that decision.

Here are a few designs we know you’ll love; Bal Harbour, Cherry and Florence.
