The Do’s and Don’ts of Erotic Looks

Dear lingerie lovers,

Today we dive into a world of intensity and seduction. Although some of you have never personally dealt with this, being here means you are at the very least curious about it. Have no fear, today's blog is perfect for you. The world of lingerie is beautiful and exciting, made even more delicious by the added flavor of erotic styles. However, stepping into this may prove difficult and overwhelming for some. To help you with that I have listed a few do’s and don’ts to consider.

Do try bold colors.

This is especially great advice for beginners. Bold colors are statement makers and unlike flashy colors, they do not leave you feeling vulnerable. A great way to deal with initial anxiety over wearing bold colors is to accessorize with neutral tones. To build an alluring image while also drawing focus to the piece in question. Try out Doris by Anais.

Don’t wear mesh beneath tight fitted clothes.

Mesh is subtle when worn the right way and is a daring material on its own merit. However, it becomes opaque beneath softer and tighter materials, creating a jagged and unappealing look.

Don’t wear dark colors beneath light colors.

In this image, I am drawing a triangle in red for danger warnings. Dark colors become see-through beneath lighter ones, leaving you looking more embarrassed than daring. Always go for a dark color beneath dark clothes and light color beneath light clothes.

Do ask tons of questions about the piece.

This can make all the difference in how it will look on your body. You can ask Lavinia to ensure you are making the right choice.

Don’t pair different prints together!

Subtly or boldly matching your lingerie items is always a plus but mixing prints is never a good idea. That means checkered and animal prints, or embroidery and stripes.

Do match your lingerie with your lipstick.

This is a fun habit that can be exciting when shown, shared, or hidden. It doesn’t matter if your lingerie is openly paired, shown only to your partner or for your personal pleasure, matching your lipstick or makeup to your lingerie is a power move irrespective of if it is done silently, or not.

Love this advice? Here are some you’ll appreciate, 3 of our newest releases; Peony by Stefi, Vanilla Sky by Stefi, and Olympia by Sawren.
