Waist Training Ins and Outs

Hey Darlings,

One big thing on most of our list is to lose weight. And although we started the year off with a pretty helpful tip. The process takes time. While I do not encourage doing unhealthy things to get there or speed up the process. I understand that somethings can get a little frustrating. Things like the excess fat around our mid rift that gives off a very unflattering look. Truth is even those of us on the slimmer end of the spectrum are not entirely free from the bulge. We wear a form-fitting dress or pencil skirt and find that our whole figure is obscured by the bulge that is poking out.

In situations like this, it can be a lot harder to feel sexy or appreciate ourselves and how far in our weight loss journey we have come. That is why body shapers are the piece of the week. Body shapers are undergarments worn with the intention to create the appearance of a toned body in clothes. That means they work to contour the appearance to present an hourglass figure. Some even believe that continued use will leave lasting effects.

They come in different shapes, styles and sizes. For example, camisoles and bodysuits are some of the more common body shapers but are usually not worn with knowledge of that due to it having a subtler effect. For more enhanced effects, corsets-waist cinchers and tummy tuckers are worn.

Knowing this, however, does not make the process of wearing them easier. Here are three helpful tips.

  • Tip 1. Always buy them in your size. Body shapers like all clothes should always be worn in the right size. A smaller size will have adverse health effects while a bigger size will not flatter you.
  • Tip 2. Know what you will be using them for. It is important to have an idea of what kind of outfits you will be wearing atop the body shaper and what desired effect you want. This way you can make a more satisfactory purchase.
  • Tip 3. Take note of the time. It is important to not wear your more detailed body shapers for more than four hours a day. This means any shaper that is doing tight cinching; corsets, tummy tuckers, open-cut body shapers.
